Sanit or Sony as he is called in his leased restaurant on the once Tsunami struck Koh Phi Phi, Thailand, right after the Chinese new year.
Sanit told us his story on a small ferry boat from Krabi to the Island:
“I lost everything in the Tsunami: My home, three restaurants, and 20 million Baht. But a man must work and support his family. I must work. So now I am leasing a new restaurant and my dream is to raise enough money to open a cooking school here on the Island. I have bought land and my family is a family of cooks. At the school I will teach you how to make Thai, Japanese and Chinese food, and everyone attending my cooking school will get their own bungalow and three meals a day. This is my dream for the future.”
